Tree Island Yogurt’s founders were inspired to bring farm-fresh yogurt, made with whole milk and real fruit purees, to Canadians. They source quality ingredients and make their own healthy artisan recipes.
Objectives:
- Improve site architecture and user experience to enable easier browsing and content discovery
- Provide a visual refresh to the brand and content
- Create engaging product pages and deeper site-wide storytelling content
- Establish SEO foundations to increase search engine traffic and drive future growth
- Implement a fully responsive solution backed by WordPress CMS and our site builder plugin, Refoundry

PHASE 1
Prototyping
Tree Island Yogurt came to us needing a much more sophisticated website to help people discover their products online. Their brand is all about the story of health and sustainability, and their content needed to radiate those values, no matter where a user entered the site.
The main focus for this website project was planning for the content they needed, but didn’t yet have. We built out an information architecture and wireframes to showcase their product categories and individual products, plus multiple new ‘about’ pages and a store locator.
PHASE 2
Style
Another goal for this project was to better align the look and feel of the site with their product packaging. We expanded on their earthy yet vibrant palette to complement their photos, and fill the pages with a wholesome, healthy vibe.
Phase 3
Bringing it All Together
The new Tree Island Yogurt website is gorgeous to look at and easy to use – which is exactly the right outcome. Users can explore recipes, search for where to find the products in store, and explore the ways Tree Island is dedicated to community and the environment. And just as importantly, it’s easier for their team to add new products and manage content thanks to the flexibility of our site builder plugin, Refoundry.
